Now, on a less happy note, I’ve been contacted by a reader who received an email purporting to be from me. There are LOADS of scam emails floating around right now, and I hate that they are targeting folks who think they’re genuinely connecting with authors. But please remember, I am ONLY on Instagram and Bluesky, so any profiles claiming to be me on any other social media platform are bogus. (I still technically have accounts on Mastodon and Hive, but heaven help me if I can remember how to log in. I haven’t posted to either in years. And I am most certainly NOT on Facebook.) Also, I do not offer beta reading, critiques, workshops, or any other authorial services. If you are contacted by anyone offering those services in my name, THEY ARE SCAMMERS. Please do not give them your money. Also, I do not send unsolicited emails or DMs to readers. Ever. My handles on both of those sites is @deannaraybourn. I hope that helps clear up any confusion!
