In which we are brand new!

Welcome, chickens! This is the beautiful, shiny new website I promised you. MAD LOVE to Cissy at Writerspace and her fabulous crew for putting this together. It is functional and gorgeous, and best of all, we didn’t lose any of our archive! So, settle in and have a good look around and make yourself comfortable. We’re going to be here awhile!

MAD LOVE back atcha for being such a doll to work with. You had a great vision for the site and it was so much fun to put together! The blog archive isn’t gone, btw, just hiding. Have to poke around the bowels of the server and re-route some things and it will be back! 🙂

Beautiful! And it doesn’t hurt my eyes to read the black text on light background.

Such a beautiful site. Open, breezy, fantastic…Continental, really, in its original sense.

The new site is lovely. I wasn’t a fan of the black background on the old one (very hard on the eyes). The new design is fresh and easy to read. Great work to you and your team 🙂

This looks lovely, and so easy to read!

Can you please tell Cissy, though, that the archive links do not work? Thanks!

This is mah-velous. It is easy on the eyes and easy to understand where things can be found.

    Hi LindaY,

Our programmer is working on the blog archives now. He should have them back up sometime today.

This is somewhat off topic. However – I tried the archives and Cissy is correct in that they do take one to the past. But the book trailer for “A Spear of Summer Grass” is marked private. Can’t see it. Tried to search on Youtube and did not find it. Is there a work-around for viewing the book trailer?

I mean not to sound too whiney, this is a grand new site. You were correct that raised expectations might spoil the impact (to paraphrase) but the impact is superb. I really do like it. Can you tell?

  16. Cissy says:

Ranger, are you playing the video from an older blog entry or from the Videos page? The link for the A Spear of Summer Grass video had to be changed but we’ve fixed it on the Video page on the site. Let me know if you can’t get the one on this page to play: https://www.deannaraybourn.com/videos.html

Love the new website, especially the travel postcards. The color combinations are pleasant and fun. Great job! One thing though, ‘About Deanna’ says nothing about you.
