In which Jude’s name came up

Reader Jill had a question about Jude: Will she get her own book and will her first husband return?

Oh, this is going to be one of those wildly unsatisfying answers that feels very cryptic and covered in secret sauce. First, I would LOVE to do Jude’s book. I think she’d make a very interesting main character in her own right, and heaven knows, she’s got some complicated baggage that she needs to deal with. (Plus, I really, really want to see Anthony Wickenden get his comeuppance, don’t you?) In the stand alone books to come, I’m plotting out the connections between A SPEAR OF SUMMER GRASS, CITY OF JASMINE, and the new projects. This means some characters will pop up in unexpected places, doing unexpected things, and perhaps one of them will be Jude. And the most I can tell you about her first husband is that I do expect to answer the question of what became of him in a future book. (I told you it would be unsatisfying…)

Note: it’s the first blog post of the month which means a new contest is up on the Contest page! Go forth and enter, chickens.

This cryptic answer is actually very satisfying! I am immensely intrigued with Jude.
