And yet here we are, chickens! Just felt like dropping an extra blog post in this week since I’m still reacquainting myself with WordPress and there are SO MANY delicious things afoot. First, comments. For the time being, I have the blog open to moderated comments. I don’t think there are hoops to jump through on your end, and I’m content to let them stay open until the sp*mmers find us again and it all gets to be too, too much to handle. So feel free to drop by and wave hello!
And speaking of comments, in the previous post’s comments, Cissy gave an update on the archive. It is currently inaccessible but it WILL be open as soon as the programmer gets us fixed up. If you’ve been around since the original Blog A Go-Go, you know how many different platforms we’ve used, and the fact that the archive survives at all is a miracle!
I just realized today that FAR IN THE WILDS pubs in ONE WEEK! If you haven’t already pre-ordered, click “HOME” up there to go to the “BOOKS” page and read all about it–you can even find purchase links right on the FAR IN THE WILDS page to make it super-easy. And if you have already pre-ordered, thank you kindly! It will be delivered ninja-like with stealth and cunning just when you aren’t expecting it…
And be sure to pop by tomorrow when I will be posting about Lauren Willig’s newest release, THE ASHFORD AFFAIR! If you’re into the 1920s and Africa, Lauren and I have got you covered between our 2013 releases.
Finally, thanks so much for all the kind feedback about the new site. I’m SO glad you love it! I do too, and it’s proving incredibly easy to navigate, which was one of our main goals. And when I say “our” goals, I mean that I said, “Please make this happen, I don’t know how,” and Cissy said, “We’ve got you.” And thanks to those of you who made the Virginia Festival of the Book such a great event last weekend! It just gets bigger and better every year, and I was thrilled to chat with so many delightful readers and writers. If you’re venturing over here for the first time because of that event, welcome!
