In which I am so happy

Dearest chickens! I hope you’ve all had a lovely start to the holiday season. There are so many wonderful things to share–if you haven’t already signed up for the newsletter, check the right-hand sidebar of the blog and DO IT. I’ve got a newsletter coming out next week, and it’s full of good stuff. 2014 is shaping up to be a wonderful year! I have MULTIPLE releases and I could not be more excited.

Now, multiple releases mean that I have more writing to do and less blogging time. (As of November 30 I’ve turned in the book after CITY OF JASMINE and have a novella and a proposal to write in December!) In order to have time to do those things and to spend time with my family–did I mention my darling daughter will be home from college most of the month?–I decided to take December off from blogging. Of course, I could have just put the blog on hiatus for a month, but where’s the fun in that?? So, I opened the blog up to friends of mine to guest post for the whole month. I hoped we’d have eight people volunteer. WE HAD THIRTY-FIVE! How awesome is that? I was utterly thrilled!

So, here’s how it works: every day in December we have a guest blogger who has provided a post for us. In the interest of keeping it simple, comments will not be enabled during the month, but many of our posters have provided links to their own websites. I haven’t nagged, and some of the posts still haven’t arrived, so if a day goes by without a post–c’est la vie! No stress from this quarter, poodles. Most of them have showed up and been utterly brilliant. I do hope you enjoy. I can’t thank my pals enough for their generosity, and I think you’ll have a wonderful time getting to know them!

I will resume fresh bloggery in January–in the meantime, please know how unspeakably grateful I am to have such a wonderful community of readers who enjoy my books and spread the word! I appreciate each and every one of you and I hope your holiday season is full of good cheer. Happy 2014, y’all!
