In which it is a holiday
And I suspect most of you are far away from your desks, enjoying the beach or the barbecue, as it should be. (It's a gorgeous 85 here right now and climbing!) But just in case you happen to be at the computer, you deserve a little frivolity. So I give you shoes. (For readers who aren't American, Memorial Day in the US is the day we set aside to honor our military men and women fallen in the line of duty. It is the unofficial start to summer, the date on which most swimming pools and theme parks are finally open and schools and banks are closed. We tend to celebrate it with picnics and barbecues, parades and the occasional fireworks display.)
