In which I'm feeling whimmy

No, not a word, but if it WERE a word, it would mean "being in a whimsical mood". And because of that, I am sharing the most whimsical blog I follow, Bakerella. Now, do not blame me for the fact that as soon as you click on that link, you will GRIEVE that you do not have Pie Pops and Cowgirl Cookies sitting on a cooling rack somewhere, waiting to be devoured. (Seriously. Cowgirl Cookies. With PINK M-&-M's. How cute is that?) Because I don't keep white flour or white sugar in the house, I haven't as yet actually made anything I've found on Bakerella, but then again, I'm a big fan of vicarious living. (I watch shows about Himalayan mountain trekking, and I'm REALLY not doing that either.) Anyway, go and delight yourself with all the adorable, thoughtful, charming, whimmy things at Bakerella. We got that one earlier this year on PBS! I LOVED his voice. He did a fabulous job of bringing out Heathcliff's brutality, I thought. And it was shot at East Riddlesden Hall--the house I visited and used for inspiration for Grimsgrave in Silent on the Moor!

Deanna, I live in Britain and at present there is a brilliant two part adaptation of Wuthering Heights on ITV1. I personally think Heathcliff has been portrayed brilliantly. You should try to watch it, it's actually very good!Mel

Oh I do love Bakerella! I'm afraid that I keep far too much white flour and sugar in the house and as a result have far too many baked goods sitting around...I should follow your lead!

Love Victorian Trading Co.! I've got a few dresses from there and some odds and ends.The next book is outside the series--The Dead Travel Fast. Will be out in March. Julia Grey #4 will be out in October '10.

Deanna, have you ever visted the victorian trading co. website? I love that website. If you haven't been there, you should check it out. I'm going to get the Victorian Poison Ring for Halloween. Also it's been awhile since the last time I visted your website so I was wondering what your next book is. Is it another Julia book?Erin.
