In which I welcome everybody to the new blog!

Welcome, readers! This is the brand spanking NEW blog that replaces the Blog A Go-Go and was designed just for me. (If you still want to browse the Blog A Go-Go archive, it will be hosted at Typepad for some months to come before it goes away for good. I promise to give you plenty of notice before that happens, but it will definitely come down at some point.) I hope you're enjoying this blog and the new website where it resides. The glorious photographs are the work of the very talented Polish photographer Malgorzata Maj. You can enjoy her gallery at deviantArt. Be warned, do NOT click on that link unless you have loads of time because you will get lost in her otherwordly fairytale images...

If you checked back at the Blog A Go-Go, you know the signing with Nora Roberts this past weekend was a resounding success. Nora was every bit as gracious as someone so successful should be--it gives the rest of us something to aspire to!--and I had a wonderful time. The woman is a rock star in the very best sense of the word, and it was a thrill to watch her in action. We signed for more than four hours and she was just as engaging with the last reader as the first in line. (And if you ever happen to be in Boonsboro, Maryland and need a place to stay, check out the Inn BoonsBoro. It's Nora's latest business venture and a seriously lovely place to relax. Each of the rooms and suites is named for a famous couple--ours was the Westley and Buttercup and came with a copy of The Princess Bride, book and film, and personalized toiletries. Did I mention the heated floor in the bathroom, fireplace in the bedroom, and homemade chocolate chip cookies? If I told you any more it would just feel like bragging, so I will simply say, if you have a chance to stay there, DO. Share this

Sounds fabulous, and welcome

Sounds fabulous, and welcome to blogger! You'll have a review of Silent on the Moor up soon at my Creative Madness.

Hi Deanna, I've been so

Hi Deanna, I've been so excited about your book signing, even though I live in western Oklahoma w/o any chance at all of attending the event. However, I told my granddaughter (a grad student at Univ. of MD) and she & a friend were there. I had sent Jennifer some extra cash to buy one of your books; she bought all 3, so I guess I'll send her some more money. She had such a good time. She told me that she told you I was a big fan and read your blog daily. But on google reader there was not an easy way to comment so I'm very pleased about this new web site. It's beautiful, by the way.
