In which I love my readers

Last month at RWA in Florida, I met a reader who presented her hardcover copy of Silent in the Grave for autographing. I opened it to find it full of post-it notes full of words. She smiled and explained that when she read my books she always kept a running list of vocabulary words she wanted to look up. I was absolutely delighted. (And I am totally stealing that idea.)

I love reading with my blackberry close by so I can look up the words I don't know right then. My Nook has a dictionary feature on it so I can look words up as I read. I love being able to do that!

Best idea ever.

I am always thinking that I wish I knew the real definition of words in books. I can guess- but knowing for sure would be nice. Then I get wrapped up in the story and forget about it.

I am going to give this a try.

Where I strive for patience...

And I failed ;) I already pre-ordered the hard-copy of Dark Road To Darjeeling with Amazon but just coudn't wait to read it. I think it will take at least 2 weeks to reach me here in Malaysia. So, I pre-ordered the e-book version from Harlequin.com too.

As soon at it was 28 September on your side of the world I downloaded it & am now reading it on my HP iPaq! And I'm enjoying it, I love the fact that Julia and Brisbane are still antogonising each either even though they've done the forever till death part.

Vocabulary

I love re-reading your books on my new iPad. I have a dictionary loaded that I can flip to when an unfamiliar word appears. I am almost at the end of Silent on the Moor for the second time and am loving it more than the first!
