In which I feel greedy

When I look at a stack of unread and much anticipated books, I feel greedy, like a small child with a whole pie to herself. It seems like just too much good stuff for one person. So I'm sharing the stack--glorious things that I've picked up to enjoy over the summer. There is a slender copy of Isabella Bird on the top, and the bottom is Murder of a Medici Princess, if you can't quite make it out. Yum! Share this

You will LOVE Sweetness At The Bottom Of The Pie.

The Isabella Bird made me

The Isabella Bird made me squeal with excitement - I have a serious love of Victorian lady travellers (I'm working on a novel about Mary Kingsley), and I have a half-baked plan of hiking in the Colorado Rockies one day...

Amen to a stack of unread

Amen to a stack of unread books. It certainly creates a sense of wonder that a folder of unread electronic files will never produce. Enjoy your reading. I'm certainly enjoying your book right now.

There's something quite wonderful about a big stack of new books in a TBR pile. The promise of many hours spent lost in a book....my own stack of TBR books is staggering. May I suggest one more book to add to your summer reading pile? If you haven't already had the pleasure of reading The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society by Mary Ann Shaffer and Annie Barrows, please treat yourself.

I did read "The Sweetness at the Bottom of the Pie." At first, I wasn't sure about the know-it-all, chemistry-savant, heroine. Now I can not wait for another. It HAS to be a series.

I know how you feel. I have a ton of books that I've kept in a stack for the summer. I feel very greedy that I have them. I did finish Silent in the Grave and let me tell you: It was VERY AWESOME! I so wanted to read more, so I instantly picked up Silent in the Sanctuary. It's so good, it's not even funny. You are the best author in the world!

Pride and Prejudice and

Pride and Prejudice and Zombies. I didn't think I could like you even more. ;-)The Picture of Dorian Gray is next on my Goodreads to-read list.

I also want to read Pride and Predjudice and Zombies. I've heard good things about it but I'm fascinated on how the author is combining the zombies and Jane Austen.

I've found two of her

I've found two of her mysteries reissued at Barnes and Noble, published by Sourcebooks. I hope they're planning on reissuing all of them!

Oh my god where did you get

Oh my god where did you get that copy of Behold, Here's Poison that looks new? I've been wanting to try Heyer's mysteries for ages but I can only ever find them used on Amazon for not cheap amounts.

Let me know what you think

Let me know what you think about THE SWEETNESS. That's added to my TBR pile as well. Great line-up!
